11/25/2023 0 Comments Antiquarian darkest dungeon![]() To top it all off, he's ridiculously slow - I believe second slowest in the roster (AFAIR the Crusader is one-point slower, but at least he can provide stuns, stress-heals, and isn't crucified when shuffled). There's no reason to take one over 90% of the roster given his terrible projection - complete lack of any usable ability outside of R1-2 - being one of few with such a stringent accuracy requirement (which was a design choice to 'make up' for having the 'best damage in the game', which can only rank 1-2, the least viable ranks for 90% of battles in the entire game). The Leper has had the same problems ever since his inception. Here's an 83k gold run (including the mission reward) from months ago - results 45min mark.īeen saying it long before FRobot was even on the scene. Regarding topic - just echo'ing the whole Antiquarian thing. Use the DD wiki for information, but don't use it too much if you care about spoilers, or if you really enjoy learning by trial and error Or just don't use them at all unless you absolutely have no one else. Avoid Lepers like the plague, unless you have acquired some +accuracy trinkets. Two last bits of advice not related to making money Avoid buying trinkets from the Nomad Wagon unless the ♥♥♥♥♥ really has something you want, and you have cash to spare. If it will cost too much to have a low-level hero undergo stress treatment, just fire him/her and get some new blood.Ħ. Don't spend money on removing diseases have a Plague Doctor or Grave Robber do that at your next camping session (with an added bonus that their hands aren't cold or warty)! The Flagellant can remove his own diseases.ĥ. For instance, if one of your heroes suffers from Lygophobia, but you always keep the torch blazing brightly, then don't waste money on removing it, as it may be replaced by something worse!Ĥ. Quirks that affect stress gain at light levels are also worth removing if they seriously affect your preferred playstyle ignore them if they do not. Compulsive, Plutomania, Egomania, and everyone's favourite, Kleptomaniac). Only remove negative quirks that force curio interaction (e.g. ![]() In fact, I'd say you may not want to lock quirks on heroes lower than rank 3.ģ. Similar to point 1, don't lock positive quirks on low-ranking heroes, as it's money down the drain if they get killed on their next run. If you get a Highwayman without Grapeshot Blast, and you never plan on using this skill (it honestly is not all that great!), then don't unlock the skill at the Guild. Some other advice on saving gold is to only upgrade what you need. Bear in mind that running with an Antiquarian is like having a blank file in your party, so the other three members will need to be capable enough of picking up the slack, as the Antiquarian isn't well-suited for direct combat, healing, or even providing substantial buffs (although "Protect Me!" is a great skill when paired with attacks that grant Riposte). Occasionally, you'll get a rare antique (also stackable) worth 1500. You'll get a stackable antique worth 500 gold along with the normal loot-even from torches. If you want to send your parties on normal runs, try including an Antiquarian, and have only her interact with curios. You can then dismiss the traumatised bookworms to hire some new recruits/victims! ![]() They will get massive stress penalties, but you can keep your loot. You can send teams of Antiquarians on suicide runs with no supplies or trinkets: have them go into a dungeon, loot as much as possible, then quit the mission.
